Trump's Inner Mussolini
No need to vote. He'll fix that. And J.D. Vance as VEEP isn't much help on the ticket.
Democrats slammed Donald Trump as a threat to democracy this weekend after the former president told a group of Christians they were “not going to have to vote” in four years should he win in November.
Trump urged Christians at Turning Point Action’s Believers Summit on Friday to turn out for the election. “Christians, get out and vote, just this time,” he said. “You won’t have to do it anymore. … You got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”
Various Democrats attacked him for the comment and argued it was a continuation of Trump’s self-described joke that he would be a dictator on “day one” of a second term. “When Vice President Harris says this election is about freedom she means it,” the Kamala Harris campaign said in a statement on Saturday. “Our democracy is under assault by criminal Donald Trump.”
But what the hell does it really mean?
Hard to tell. People who watch political language say Donald Trump is given to making statements that could he interpreted many ways. This is why it is so difficult to pin him down on just about anything, running from lies to simple hyperboles about anything. This would be the perfect place to itemize a bunch of them, but I’m not going to because its a waste of time. Most of you already know them. Start a list for the rest of the campaign, but it’s not really necessary.
He lies!
On J.D. Vance, if you haven’t heard this yet, you are blessedly unaware of the shit show that is playing out on the Republican side of the presidential race.
A viral clip on social media shows Vance proposing that people with children be given more voting power than people without kids.
On the heels of widespread denunciation of Vance’s past condemnation of Democratic leaders as “childless cat ladies,” the footage underscores the Ohio senator’s ire toward people without children. But there’s more to the story.
He’s hinting that he views women as breeders whose sole purpose should be living the kitchen life to raise the offspring.
If they don’t do that, our nation will be overrun by those who still breed a lot, like immigrants and low lifes.
Just wait until Trump has to answer questions about THAT in a debate.
Oh, yeah, on debating Vice President Kamala Harris, which we thought was set for September, Trump is waffling, arguing that Harris is not the Democratic candidate yet so he isn’t talking about it until that happens in mid-August.
Note that Harris has already collected all the delegates she needs and has been endorsed by every big Democratic backer, everyone but the ghost of FDR!

And I read elsewhere the point that Trump debated Biden, even though he wasn’t officially the Dem nominee. As usual, tR spews garbage.
I have to say M. had a commanding presence and struck a good pose.
He even looked good hanging upside down after partisan's capture and executed then hung him (and his mistress) up on scaffolding, using piano tire, I think.
